Dear Life, this is your final notice to slow down. You have been happening too fast and I can't keep up. So please adhere to the local laws and let's try this one day at at a time.

Dear October,
I am so sorry I missed you. You were here and gone in a flash. Let me know how I can repay you?

Dear November,
Don't you dare try to do what October did and just up and leave. We need some time together to make this work.

Dear Volvo,
I am waiting to hear back from the guys to see what your status is. Hopefully we don't have to put you down and out of your misery. Hopefully it is just a small cold that can be remedied with a tune up.

Dear Yari
Next time don't be a stupid car in the rain. That was not nice of what you did to Jeff. Seriously get your act in line.

Dear bad health
Please leave from all of my friends, their parents, my family, and my coworkers. You are just messing everything up.

Rules of the Holiday Season (begining Oct. 31st throu Jan. 2)

1. No Christmas music till after Thanksgiving. Please quit overshadowing the trip and feast that my long ago relatives had. Your Santa baby song can wait

2. Put up your decorations when ever you feel like it, when ever is right for your family, but don't turn it into a contest. Don't make your Christmas light up reindeer do anything dirty in your front yard either (Ok Dad, don't make the neighbors light up reindeer do anything naughty either)

3. If it is going to snow, it better snow a lot. Enough to stop traffic, school and work. None of that slushy crap that makes the drivers in Kansas City forget how to drive. It's yucky, wet, and not fun. I want the big fluffy snow that makes the perfect sledding snow. That stops all kids from going to school but doesn't stop them from playing outside.

4. Yes, go on and make your Christmas candy, your cookies, your chocolate bars but no don't expect me to wait till the actual holiday gathering to eat them. You leave them out I will eat them.

5. Please make hot chocolate avaiable at all points in this season. And if you feel adventurous do like Jeff does and make it a pepperment hot chocolate. Yum.

6. Enjoy your family. Yes it may be stressful. Yes they may be in a bad mood because of the stress, but they are your family. Don't miss out on anything.

7. Watch you favorite chirstmas movie over and over and over. At our house I want to make "A Wish For Wings That Work" a holiday classic. My dad's house "It''s a wonderful life" 24/7. Some people "Elf" is on the TV. And the list goes on and on and on. Don't forget Griswald Christmas Vacation. That one is too close to real life for our family.

8. Do everything in moderation. If you don't will likely not enjoy the activity when you do decide to stop. (eggnog drinking, sledding, talking with relatives,) moderation is the key

9. eat turkey

10. Be present with those around you. Be there, be involved, be you!
